Qualifying Service Description:
  1. Served in several enlistments of six months each as a Private under Lieutenant Fells, a Sergeant under Captain Mead, and an ensign with Christie
  2. Slightly wounded in the arm with a bayonet, and captured on the 6th of September, 1781 while in arms at Closter, and was imprisoned

Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format. The thinking here is that this is a patriot biography, not a lineage report or a kinship determination project or other report published in a genealogy journal.
