Qualifying Service Description:
  1. Private and Corporal in the Continental Army serving in the NC Battalion, commanded by Colonel Thomas Clark
  2. Roll of Capt Joshua Bowman's Light Infantry Company
  3. He enlisted in the NC 10th Regiment 10 October 1777 and was in Cpt Wilson's Company
  4. He was promoted to rank of Corporal during his two and one-half years of service in June 1779

A tiny family cemetery, located on what is now called Fellowship Drive (formerly part of Lumley Drive which is connected to it) just inside the Wake County line. It can be found across the road from the Eagles' Nest Christian Fellowship Church
