Edmund Rice was born 1719, in Westborough, Worchester, MA. He married Hannah Gassett, who was a Huguenot descendant.
Edmund rice assisted in establishing American Independence while acting in the Capacity of Private in Captain George Baker’s Regiment of Militia 1775.
His daughter Hannah Rice married patriot Joanthan Whipple. He was descendant of Edmund Rice an early immigrant to Massachusetts Bay Colony.

He died from wounds in the revolutionary war at home on 19 July 1775 in Westborough, Worchester, New York .
