Joseph Pryor was born 1736 in VA. He was the son of Samuel Pryor and Prudence Thornton. He married Mary Longdon.
He had children: Luke, Samuel, Joseph, William, Ann, John, Richard, Polly, Thornton, Edward, Mary Emeline, and Prudence. He died 1 Feb 1813 in Paris, Burbon Co, KY.
His patriotic service included Military service as a Captain in the Militia.
Per Kentucky Court & Other Records By Ardery Vol. 2 - Page 21 his will is in Bourbon County, KY., Will Book D Page 330 naming wife and children dated December 13, 1812 - probated February 1813.
He is buried at Burbon Co., KY
