Elisha Prescott (1754-1813) P-273429
Elisha Prescott was born 13 December 1754 at Epping, New Hampshire. He married Mary Marston (April 27, 1758 – June 13, 1847) in 1777. Elisha and Mary had nine children. Elisha served throughout the Revolution starting as and Ensign in the New Hampshire Troops at Bunker Hill and is found on the roster of Captain Nathan Brown's Company serving in Rhode Island in August 1778. Elisha and Mary resided at Epping, New Hampshire, until about 1784 when they moved to Gardiner, Maine, and soon thereafter purchased land near Readfield, Maine, where he farmed 380 acres. Elisha Prescott died 13 October 1813 at the age of 58 years and 10 months. Elisha's farm and possessions were valued at $4009.20 at the time of his death. Elisha is listed as “Ensign Prescott” on numerous probate documents and petitions from his time living in Readfield.
