ELISHA PARSONS of Northampton Massachusetts was a Private in Capt. Jonathan Waile's Company, Col. Ezra May's Regiment. He enlisted September 22, 1777; discharged Oct 15, 1777; service 28 days, on expedition to Stillwarter and Saratoga, including travel (121 miles) home. Roll sworn to in Hampshire County. At the time of his service he was 46 years old. His unit would have been at Saratoga in time for the October 7 battle of Bemis Heights.
Elisha Parsons was the 4th generation of Parsons in America, the great grandson of Joseph Parsons who came to America about 1635. Members of the Parsons Family are still living in Northampton MA today.
