Author: Michael B. Gunn
Born on August 3, 1746 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Joseph Parks served as a Private in the 5th Regiment Pennsylvania Militia. He married Jane Robinson (1751-1825). He died on April 12, 1814 and is buried in Dick’s Creek Cemetery, Union Road, Franklin, Warren County, Ohio. (East side of Township Road 48, 4 miles Northwest of Lebanon), Lot 3, Grave 2 with an upright stone.
 
Cemetery Notes: "this inactive cemetery is located off Union Road opposite the Grace Baptist Church (3023 Union Road) less than 0.5 mile south of the intersection of Union Road with State Route 122. The cemetery was established in 1810. The last burial occurred in the 1920s." His grave has a VA headstone.
