Qualifying Service Description:
  1. Robert was a Corporal in Captain Jonathan Caldwell’s Delaware Company, Continental Troops, he enlisted on January 14, 1776
  2. He was quartermaster Sergeant in Colonel David Hall’s Regiment from 1777 through 1779
  3. He was a sergeant in Captain William Mckennan’s Company at Yorktown in 1781 and Camp Ashley River in 1782.

Born in 1750.  
 
Robert was a Corporal in Captain Jonathan Caldwell’s Delaware Company, Continental Troops, he enlisted on January 14, 1776 and was quartermaster Sergeant in Colonel David Hall’s Regiment from 1777 through 1779 and he was a sergeant in Captain William Mckennan’s Company at Yorktown in 1781 and  Camp Ashley River in 1782. 
 
His marriage is unknown. 
 
He drowned 14 Nov 1824 in Union Township, Ross County, Ohio and his burial unknown.  A memorial stone commemorating Robert"s service has been placed in the Springbank Cemetery, in Union Township, Ross County, Ohio.  
 
Cemetery Notes: Springbank is an active cemetery on route 104 in Ross County. It is well cared for. Close to the Ross and Pickaway County line, just beyond the little community of Yellowbud. The cemetery is located in Union Township, Ross County, Ohio
