Author: John R. Hundley III
William Offutt Jr. was born 14 Feb 1729 in Prince George's County, Maryland. He married Elizabeth Magruder, daughter of Samuel Magruder 21 Dec 1750. Their daughter Elizabeth married Charles Thrift II and their daughter Margaret married Baruch Odell.

William Offutt Jr. signed an Oath of Fidelity and Support in Montgomery County, Maryland in 1778.

He died 29 Sep 1786 in Montgomery County, Maryland.
