His grave was removed from the Kemper Family Burial Ground in Walnut Hills to Spring Grove on June 14, 1864.

He enlisted in Captain Fauquier’s company, Virginia Militia. He later became a Captain. At the siege of York he was injured by a British grapeshot. Buried first in Walnut Hills Cemetery in June 14, 1864 moved to Spring Grove Cemetery June 14, 1864, Lot 9, Section 38, Grave 6. Family stone obelisk. In 1844 members of the Cincinnati Horticulture Society formed a cemetery association because of a concern by many community leaders over the lack of proper interment facilities in the area. On August 28, 1845, the original 220 acres were dedicated as a cemetery. Spring Grove Cemetery Records. Microfiche. Now also available online, http://www. Springrove.org. Cincinnati Daily Gazette. (Obituaries).Cincinnati, Ohio, 1827-1850. There is a Kemper family obelisk at the site. Many families reburied their ancestors at Spring Grove because of the quality of perpetual care provided, the beauty and serenity of the grounds. On May 15, 1976 a bronze tablet was placed on a large granite boulder listing some of the Revolutionary War soldiers buried at the Cemetery. This memorial is across the road where Sections 113, 115 and 116 join to the North end of the Woodland Preserve. [Lat. 39.1672739 Ln. -84.5349940.] Hamilton County Recorder’s Office. Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format.
