Daniel Norcross was born during 1745 in Templeton, Worcester County, Massachusetts.

As a corporal in the Minuteman Company of Captain Joel Fletcher, Colonel Ephraim Doolittle’s Regiment, he addressed the alarm of 19 April 1775 and served 19 days.

He died in 1825 and is buried in the Baptist Common Cemetery, Templeton, Worcester County, MA alongside his wife Mrs. Norcross (first name not known), brother Levi Norcross and his company commander. Today the cemetery is located at 349-367 Baldwin Rd, Templeton, MA. His headstone is clearly inscribed with his name and year of dead, but not his year of birth
