Author: Dr. Michael Bernard Gunn

Born in 1761 at Pennsylvania. He served in the Revolutionary War for Pennsylvania, from 1777 with his twin brother at the age of 16. He married Catherine Barbara Zimmerman, then Wineford Buck, and then Elizabeth Wheeler. He died in 1837 and was buried at Old Graveyard, 25 N. 6th Street, Newark, Ohio, 43055. Ref: 56th-77th Annual Reports DAR. Senate documents (United States Congress, Senate). Government Printing Office: Washington, DC.  Listed on a Granite DAR monument with names of 5 other patriots placed in 1976.
