Qualifying Service Description:
  1. 1775, he served as a Sergeant in the company of Captian Joseph Smith, commanded by Colonel David Waterbury.
  2. 1778, he served as a Private in the company of Captain Eli Leavenworth, commanded by Colonel Jonathan Meigs.
  3. 1781, served in the company of Captain Eli Noble, commanded by Colonel Ebenezer Walbridge, Vermont Militia.

Timothy Munson who also was from CT. Timothy was born 1 Jul 1734 and married before 1 March 1755 to Sarah Bishop. He was a resident of New Havenand New Milford, CT before the war. He owned several pieces of land in the New Milford but sold his last piece in June 1775 when he entered the Revolutionarty Army.

He served at least two terms of service, one with the 8th company, 5th Continental Regiment from 9 May to 13 October with the rank of sergeant. After his discharge, he enlisted again as a private in the 6th Regiment, Connecticut Line. His unit wintered at West Point during the winter of 1777-1778.

Timothy and his family moved to Pownal, VT where he remained for 46 years.

He was a tailor, tavern-keeper and farmer. He is buried in the Pownal Center Cemetery.
