Ezekiel Morris was born on 1 February 1747 in Berks County, Pennsylvania, the son of John Isaac and Mary (Davis) Morris. 

He married Mary Linville in Frederick County, Maryland, in 1767 and had ten known children:

  • John was born on 28 December 1769 and married Elizabeth Wells
  • Sarah was born in 1771 and married [given name undetermined] Lemley
  • Samuel was born in 1778 and married Catherine Strouse.
  • Richard was born about 1777.
  • Elizabeth was born in 1750 and married Jacob Cline.
  • Rebecca was born in 1777 and married Benjamin Bowman.
  • Anna was born abt 1785 and married [given name undetermined] Thomas.
  • Eleanor was born abt 1786 d. 1825 and married [given name undetermined] Shelby.
  • Henry O’Neal was born on 6 July 1788 and married Charity Shelby.
  • Lydia married Benedict Morris.

Ezekiel served as a Private in Captain James Archer’s Company, 1st Battalion Washington County, Pennsylvania Militia.

He was on the first Grand Jury in Pickaway County on 23 July 1810. It was held at the home of Henry Neville, where Honorable John Thompson presides. Ezekiel paid taxes in 1812 for land in Pickaway Township, Section 4 East ½, Washington Township, Section 34 SW ¼, and Walnut Township, Section 33 West ½. 

The Patriot died on 24 September 1822 and was buried in the Harry Montelious Farm Cemetery.
