Author: David Merrill Leonard
William Morgan, (b. 1719 in Richmond County, VA) married Elizabeth Mary Hudnall, (b. 1736) on 26 January 1760 in Fauquier Co., VA. His wife is also identified as Elizabeth Duncan, (b. 18 January 1835) They lives most of their lives in Fauquier Co., VA until they moved to Lincoln Co., KY shortly before his death. In 1767, William received a lease for 200 acres from Lord Fairfax, Proprietor of Northern Neck. He appeared on the 1788 tax list as owning 365 acres. They conveyed their home and acreage to Robert Rose in 1796. He died in Lincoln Co. KY on 1 October 1797 leaving a will to divide his estate among family members. Elizabeth, (both identities) died on 15 September 1815 in Stanford, Lincoln., Co. His name appears if Fauquier Revolutionary Publick Claims for having provided patriot service by provisioning troops with beef. I am descended through his daughter Alice Morgan Fishback.
