2) Service: Enlisted February 1776 as Private in Capt. Thomas Patterson’s Co. Col. Elias Dayton’s Regt. New Jersey Militia and served on several alarms under Capt. Patterson, Peter Layton and John Norris until 1777. In May 1778 enlisted, served marched in Capt. Thomas Patterson’s Co. Col. Elias Dayton’s Regt. Battle of Battle of Monmouth. He then served at various times under close of War with Capt. Peter Layton and Capt. Wade, and was in Battle of Connecticut Farms and Springfield. Also served 3rd Battalion Continental Army in addition to New Jersey State Troopers.

Granted Pension W-7484 on application executed 17 Aug 1832 and died 04 May 1836. Granted widow’s pension on her application executed 03 Nov 1837 and she died 16 Feb 1839.
