Author: David J. Perkins
Robert Moore was born about 1759 in Ireland. His wife was Hannah Thompson, who was also born in Ireland. There were married about 1799 in Newberry, SC. He died in Newberry on 25 March 1834, and Hannah died 01 September 1835.

Robert served in Col. Philemon Water’s regiment, both before and after the fall of Charlestown, SC on May 12, 1780.
