  1. Captain, Montgomery Co, VA Militia in Bluestone River area, served under Colonel Wm Campbell at Guilford Courthouse
  2. DAR RC# 408816 states: CAPTAIN; MONTGOMERY CO MILITIA
  3. Private, under Gen Andrew Lewis at the Battle of Point Pleasant 10 Oct 1774
  4. 03 April 1778 - commissioned as Captain of militia on the waters of Bluestone
  5. 15 March 1781 part of a rifle company at the Battle of Guilford Courthouse, under Gen Nathaniel Greene and Colonel William Campbell
