Qualifying Service Description:
1777, he served as a Private in the company of Captain Ralph Hilleary, commanded by Colonel Charles Beatty of the 33rd Battalion of the Maryland Militia.

Abraham Monnett was born on 16 March 1748 in Calvert County, Maryland, the son of Isaac and Elizabeth (Osborne) Monnett.
He married Ann Hilleary in 1772, and they had the following known children:
Isaac was born on 23 May 1773 and married Elizabeth Pettinger Morris.
William was born on 22 October 1775.
John was born on 23 April 1776.
Thomas was born on 22 October 1779 and married Ann Slagle.
Margaret was born on 5 August 1782 and married Joseph Slagle.
Jeremiah was born on 12 September 1784 and married Alley Slagle.
Osborne was born on 12 June 1786 and married Hannah Shafer.
Elizabeth was born on 2 November 1791 and married Micah Saylor.
Abraham served as a Private in Captain Ralph Hilleary’s 2nd Company of Colonel Charles Beatty’s 3rd Battalion of the Maryland Militia.
Abraham came to Slaltcreek Township, Section 34, in 1803. He paid taxes for it in 1812.
The Patriot died on 7 December 1810 in Saltcreek Township. He was buried in the Bald Knob Cemetery (Monnett Cemetery) Saltcreek Township and then reinterred in 1904 in the Prairieview Cemetery.

Abraham Monnett was born on 16 March 1748 in Calvert County, Maryland to Isaac Monnett and Elizabeth Osbourne.
During the American Revolution, he served as a Private in Captain Ralph Hilleary’s Company, 33rd Battalion of the Maryland Militia.
He married Ann Hillary (1748-1833) in about 1772 in Prince George County, Maryland. They had the following children:

The Patriot died on 21 September 1833 in Pickaway County, Ohio.
