From Find-a-Grave: Cemetery Records have not been recovered, however it is stated in Senate National Documents he is buried near the Mobley Meeting House, in an unmarked grave. This location is currently under investigation ~ CL Hileman. No change June 2020

From Columbia, SC: Take I-126 W, I-26 W and US-176 W to R Stoudemayer Rd/State Rd S-40-32. Take Broad River Rd to SC-34 E in Newberry County. Turn right onto SC-34 E. Continue on Old Blair Rd/State Rd S-20-12 to your destination

Samuel Mobley was born about 1739. He married Mary Wagner 1 May 1761. Mary was born in Virginia about 1743 and died about 1812. Samuel served as a private under Capts. Parrott, Davis, and Gray. He also served as a Camden District, SC, staff officer and furnished a horse to the service.
