Ambrose Meador PATRIOT STATUS for service of supplying Continental Army for several years. Born1730 Essex Virginia and died 1795 Meador Virginia ,( Bedford County Va.) Ambrose was a tobacco farmer. Married to Francis Hix. The DAR Chapter in Brandenberg Kentucky is named the Ambrose Meador Chapter. He was a great grandson of Ambrose Meador who immigrated to Jamestown in 1630 from Avon England(1584-1658). A Puritan leader who in 1649 founded the Accokeek Plantation in 1649 in Rappahannock Virginia.
