McNeil, Duncan (b. 1728, Kintyre, Scotland; d. 2 Oct 1791, Cumberland, NC) Married Loveday Campbell (b. 1753; d. 22 Oct 1786, Cumberland, NC) Inscription: The son of Neill McNeill of Kintyre, Scotland. The pioneer and friend of the Scottish Emigration to the Cape Fear region was born in Kintyre, Scotland in 1728, and died near the Bluff October 2nd, 1791, leaving to his Children the legacy of an honest upright Character. This tribute of filial affection to the memory of a venerated Father is erected by his youngest child, Duncan. Patriot biographies must be the original work of the author, and work submitted must not belong to another person or group, in observance with copyright law. Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format.
