He performed Patriotic service as a juror and member of the SC legislature in 1782.
Samuel McJunkin died in Christian Co., KY enroute to Indiana with his family. He does not have a tombstone at his actual grave site as he was buried beside the roadway as they traveled.
He died 25 Apr 1808, his Will was probated 23 Apr 1809, and recorded in Christian Co., KY Will Book A, pg. 86. The Will named a sole heir, son, John McJunkin of Knox Co., IN.
