Directions to Cemetery / Gravesite:
The cemetery is on two levels. Turn onto the access road, at the top of the hill is the newer portion of the cemetery. On this level is the SAR monument dedicated to the Revolutionary War Patriots buried in the cemetery. The older portion of the cemetery is at the base of the hill on the north side. The access road to the lower portion forks to the right halfway up the right side of the hill. The road is somewhat overgrown and quite steep

Frederick McInturff, or McEnturf, was born in 1758 in London Grove, Chester County, Pennsylvania, the son of Johannes and Maria Rosina Meckendoerfer.
The family moved to Virginia before July 1762. Frederick met Susannah Carrier, and they were married on 25 February 1783 by Jacob Snider in Shenandoah County. They were the parents of eight known children:
Daniel was born on 31 October 1786 and married Mary Klemm.
Henry was born on 30 April 1787 and married Christina Lichliter.
Margaret was born on 1 March 1789 and married Benjamin Harman.

David was born on 25 April 1791 and married Mary "Polly" Coverstone.
John was born on 8 March 1793 and married Sevilla Lichliter.
George was born about 1794 and married Sarah Ross.
Abraham was born on 8 November 1799 and married Barbara Downey.
During the Revolutionary War, he was a soldier under Captain Joseph Bowman, Dunmore County Militia. He owned a 330-acre farm in Powell's Fort, Seven Fountains, Shenandoah County, Virginia.
The Patriot died on 1 July 1816 in Seven Fountains, Shenandoah County, and is buried in Dry Run Cemetery.
