Daniel Maupin Sr. was born March 25, 1700 in France, and is the son of Gabriel and Marie ”Mary” Spencer Maupin.
Daniel married Margaret Via in 1719 in St. Peters Parish, Louisa Co., VA. Daniel and Margaret had ten children (Gabriel, Mary, John, Daniel (Cuff Daniel), William, Jean (Jane), Jesse, Margaret (Peggy), Zacharias (Mosias), and Thomas).
During the Revolutionary War Daniel provided supplies to the militia/continental armies in the form of 297 pounds of rye flour, and 350 pounds of beef while living in Albemarle Co., VA.
Daniel passed away September 1788 an his wife Margaret died about 1789. Both Daniel and his wife Margaret are buried in the Daniel Maupin cemetery, in White Hall, Albemarle Co., VA.

The biography should discuss the qualifying service (military, patriotic, civil) of the patriot ancestor, where the service was rendered, whether this was a specific state or Continental service, as well as significant events (as determined by the author) of the patriot's life. This is the entire purpose of a patriot's biography.
