Author: Michael B. Gunn
Born in 1763 in Pennsylvania. He served as a Soldier with PA in the Revolutionary War. He married Christina Hines (1779 - 1834); children: Isaiah, Nancy, Hannah, Jacob, Christopher and Rieuann. He Died in 1832 in Delaware County and buried at the Wyatt Cemetery, Waldo, Waldo Township, Marion Co, OH. Inscription: Christopher Mattox 1763-1832. Cemetery notes and/or description: St. Rte. 423 south through Waldo. Turn left on St. Rte. 229. Cross US 23. The cemetery will be on the left about 2/10's of a mile. This is the oldest cemetery in Marion County. 56th N. S DAR report. 56th-77th Annual Reports DAR. Senate documents (United States Congress, Senate). Government Printing Office: Washington, DC. Has a tombstone.
