Author: David Martin Taylor
John Martin was born 23 Oct 1739 in Somerset NJ. He was the son of Ephrain and Eunice Martin.

He married Susannah Catlin.

He had nine children: Susannah, Ephraim, Joseph, Hannah, Phebe, Sarah, John, Abner, Susannah. He died 14 May 1837 in Tyler County WV.

His patriotic service was as a 1st Lt 4 NJ Regiment.

He died 14 May 1837 and is buried at Alexander-Union Old Cumberland Cemetery.
