During the Revolutionary War, Adam Jacob Mann helped his father John Jacob Mann (Patriot) with the making of gunpowder and providing other items to the American forces.

Adam Jacob Mann was born about 1747 in Augusta, Virginia to John Jacob and Barbara (Mueller/Miller) Mann. He moved with his family to the Indian Creek region of Monroe County, Virginia. On 9 Dec 1783 he married Mary Maddy (1760 –about 1789) in Greenbrier, Virginia. Adam Jacob died 13 Jun 1840 in Monroe, Virginia. He is buried there in the Mann Cemetery.

Adam Jacob Mann then married Mary Elizabeth Flinn/Flynn (23 Mar 1772 – 17 Sep 1790) on 03 May 1790 in Greenbrier, Virginia. There children were:

Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format.
