Benjamin Luce was born in 1730. He served as a Private with Pennsylvania in the Revolutionary War. He married Elizabeth Hopkins. He died in 1814 in Dayton, Ohio, and his place of burial is not known. His name is on a bronze DAR plaque containing 30 Revolutionary War Patriots in Montgomery County, Ohio in Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum at 118 Woodland Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45409. Cemetery notes and/or description: Woodland Cemetery is one of the nation's five oldest rural/garden cemeteries and a unique cultural, botanical and educational resource in the heart of Dayton, Ohio. Historic Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum was founded in 1841, when John Van Cleve purchased 40 acres of land one mile south of downtown Dayton, Ohio.
