Nathaniel Lowell was born at Rowley, Massachusetts in 1753.   He served as a private in Captain Stephen Jenkin's Company of Colonel Samuel Johnson's Regiment, in the Northern department (northern New York and Vermont) under General Gates, particularly at the victory at Saratoga.  He died at Rindge, New Hampshire, in 1832.
