The original marker, which is broken into two pieces, is at Section 1, Lot 36, Slot 6. There is a Veterans Administration marker in the same cemetery about 60 paces southwest of the original and about 30 paces north of the McPherson statue in Section 1
Directions to Cemetery / Gravesite:
Enter at the main entrance in the southwest corner of the cemetery. At the first "Y" intersection take the left branch. The one-lane road curves slightly to the right and then slightly to the left. After completing another slight curve back to the right, park on the left side of the road. Walk straight up three rows. The marker faces to the west and is broken about 1/3 the way up

Jacob Henning LeFevre was born 24 March 1766, at Strasburg, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, a son of John LeFevre and Anna Margaret Henning. He served in the Eighth Company of the Third Battalion, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, Militia.
LeFevre married Rebecca Pechtel in 1799. They were the parents of 12 children: David, Samuel, Isaac, Jacob, Margaret, Isaac, Mary, Rebecca L., Elizabeth, William, John Jr. and Sarah Ann.
Rebecca Pechtel LeFevre died 3 February 1829, and was buried at the Steode Farm, Mayfield County, Ohio.
Jacob Henning LeFevre died 8 November 1844, at Fairfield, Ohio, aged 78 years. He was buried at McPherson Cemetery, also known as Evergreen Cemetery, at Clyde, Sandusky County, Ohio.
