Zachariah Lacey served four years as a private and corporal.  Along with J.T. Bortherwill, they hired David Jackson as a substitute to serve in their stead during the war.  Under the Act of Congress in 1832, he received a pension of eighty-four dollars per year for the remainder of his life.
