  1. SC State Legislature, 1782
  2. Captain and Colonel of Volunteer Army of SC
  3. Promoted to Brig. General shortly after the war
  4. Colonel under Brig General Thomas Sumter, Also Captian of Militia
  5. Participated in Cherokee Expedition, under Andrew Williamson, 1776
  6. Commander of SC forces at King's Mountain, Rocky Mount, Hanging Rock, Fish Dam Ford and other decisive battles
  7. Served in Williamson's Cherokee Campaign and read publicly the Declaration of Independence to the Army when News reached them

Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format.
