Peter Klopp Jr. was born on 13 May 1751 in Heidelberg Township, Lancaster County. He is the son of Peter Klopp Sr. and his mother Maria Werina Becker.
His first married was to Elizabeth Hain, who was born in 1753 in Heidelberg Township, Berks County. They had 4 children and their names are Anna Maria, John Peter, Catherine and Elizabeth. Elizabeth died in 1783 and is buried at the St. Daniel’s Corner Church, Heidelberg Township, Berks County.
His 2nd marriage was to Elisabeth Fidler (my line), daughter of Henrich Fidler and Magalena Schauer. Her Dad’s parents were Gottfried Fidler & Anna Elisabeth nee Salomon. Her mother’s parents were Michael Schauer (Shaver)(The First Constable to then Sheriff, Conrad Weiser in Tulpehocken Township, Lancaster County, 5 August 1729) and Elizabeth Catharina Lauck. These families were the first German Palatine Families to settle in the Tulpehocken Valley in the early 1720’s.
Elisabeth Fidler was born 28 April 1763 in Tulpehocken Township, Berks County. They were marriage in 1788 and had 12 children. Their names being, Johannes “John” Adam, John, Benjamin, Anna Margaret, Elizabeth “Betsy”, Anna Maria, Catherine, Suzanna, Daniel, Joseph, Sarah & John Isaac.
1777 thru 1783, he is a Soldier (Private) in Captain Filbert’s 8th Company from Heidelberg Township, 6th Battalion, Western Section.
1 June 1778, he took the Oath of Allegiance at Heidelberg Township, Berks County, Pa. Book D, Volume 1, page 34.
Paid the Federal Supply Tax in Berks County in 1779.
In 1800, he purchased a farm near the Klopp Store for 1800 pound in gold and silver from Peter Knobb.
3 January 1834 Peter wrote and signed his last will, leaving everything to his wife, Elisabeth, except 193 acres of land which he gives to Isaac and other lands to Joseph. All the children are named in the will and share in equal parts. The will was probated 9 March 1835.
Elizabeth would pass away on 10 January 1835 at the farm in Heidelberg Township; Peter would pass away on 24 February 1835. Both were buried by each other side at the St. Daniel’s Corner Church Cemetery, Heidelberg Township, Berks County.
