Born in 1747(1746) in Morris County, New Jersey near Hanover. Private Minute Man in Morris County, New Jersey, Militia, Enlisted before 1777. Certified copy of Adjudent General office, " Trenton, N.J. Parents: John (1714-1777) and Keziah Ball (dau of Caleb and Elizabeth). He Died about 1800, Buried in Pleasant Ridge Presbyterian Cemetery, Lot 43, Section C, Grave 3, 5950 Montgomery Rd. Cincinnati, O. Buried in 1st Presbyterian Churchyard, now covered by enlarged church. Monument : On inner wall of church giving its charter members, his name is first. Hamilton County Recorder’s Office. Veterans’ Graves Registration Cards. (Cards are located at the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County.) { Works Progress Administration (WPA) Revolutionary War Veteran burial records in Ohio; Cincinnati-Hamilton County Public Library, History/Genealogy department.} Married (1) Esther and perhaps (2) Rachel. Both died in NJ. Children: Phoebe and Samuel. He was a wheelwright- carpenter, a furniture maker, and made the first gable roof in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1790 he was first Elder, of the Presbyterian Church. Buried in 1st Presbyterian Churchyard, now covered by enlarged church. Patriot biographies must be the original work of the author, and work submitted must not belong to another person or group, in observance with copyright law. Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format. The narrative should unfold in a logical manner (e.g. the narrative does not jump from time period to time period) or have repeated digressions, or tell the history of the patriot's line from the patriot ancestor to the author. The thinking here is that this is a patriot biography, not a lineage report or a kinship determination project or other report published in a genealogy journal. The biography should discuss the qualifying service (military, patriotic, civil) of the patriot ancestor, where the service was rendered, whether this was a specific state or Continental service, as well as significant events (as determined by the author) of the patriot's life. This is the entire purpose of a patriot's biography.
