Author: George Edward Livingston

ISAAC KIRK: Born 23 Oct. 1735, Upper Darby Twp, Chester County PA. Son of Joseph Kirk and Ann Hood. In 1763 he married Rachel ..….., born c1739. They were the parents of 6 children; 2 sons and 4 daughters.
Isaac was as a Constable in Upper Darby, Chester County, PA from 1773 to 1776, and overseer of the poor in 1777.
Isaac Kirk served as a Private in the 8th Company, 6th Battalion, Chester County PA Militia, 1780-1782. He died 3 Aug. 1803, Findley Twp., Washington County PA. His wife Rachel died in 1834, Donegal Twp., having lived as a widow for 31 years. Both are buried in Washington County PA. Actual place of burial unknown. Isaac was the father-in-law of Patriot Ancestor, John Supler.
