JACKSON, BENJAMIN, (Richland County)         [40.62117 -82.51878]

Born March 5, 1751 at Rockaway, New Jersey, the tenth child of Joseph Jackson (1710-1769) and Annie Mary Rogers (1710-1760).  He was a private and sergeant in the companies of Captains Josiah Hall, Jonas Ward, Benjamin Minor and Job Allen and the regiments of Colonels Jacob Ford, Benoni Hathawy, Spencer, and Drake of New Jersey Line.  He married Abigail Mitchell (1755-1843); Children: Ziba, Isaac, Betsey, Phoebe, David, Daniel and Benjamin.  He received a Revolutionary War Pension for his services.  He died June 6, 1842 and was buried at Belleville Cemetery, Church Street, Bellville, Richland County, Ohio.  References:  *S4430.  SAR Ancestor # P-223655.  DAR# A060891.
