Joseph HUNTINGTON was born on 7 JUN 1753 in Amesbury, Essex County, 
He married Mary Colby, daughter of patriot John Colby

Joseph Huntington was a Sgt. In the NH Militia, state troops.
He later became a Lieutenant of Militia.

His father was a Quaker and would not sign the allegiance papers.

He died Oct. 25, 1837 on Bennington, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
He is buried in the Evergreen Cemetery
