The following biography of John Hulet, Jr. was published anonynously at findagrave.com. I am not the author.
Born in Killingly [now Thompson], Connecticut.
He served in the Revolutionary War for the state of Massachusetts. His DAR marker is on his grandson's grave. His grandson was also named John Hulet, and died at the age of nine years in a timber cutting accident.

John Hulet enlisted in 1775 while living at Tyringham, Massachusetts. He fought in the War of the Revolution at Bunker Hill and was present at the surrender of General Burgoyne. His three brothers, Sylvanus, Samuel, and Asa also served. John left the service as a Sergeant and moved to Brunswick, Ohio, in 1815.

John was the proud father of 14 children, including:
Achsah, John W., Isaac, Wesley, Wealthy, Betsy, Sally, Abijah, Fletcher, Jane Theresa, Eliz., and Samuel.
John Hulet was buried in the old cemetery at Brunswick, in a plot bought by a Captain John Stearns, with members of his family. Gray granite tablets mark their graves, and John's is marked as a Revolutionary soldier.

Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format. The narrative should unfold in a logical manner (e.g. the narrative does not jump from time period to time period) or have repeated digressions, or tell the history of the patriot's line from the patriot ancestor to the author. The thinking here is that this is a patriot biography, not a lineage report or a kinship determination project or other report published in a genealogy journal. The biography should discuss the qualifying service (military, patriotic, civil) of the patriot ancestor, where the service was rendered, whether this was a specific state or Continental service, as well as significant events (as determined by the author) of the patriot's life.
