Michael Hubler, Sr., was born March 3, 1767 in Berks County, Pennsylvania. He served as a Private with the Pennsylvania 7th Company, 2nd Battalion under Colonel Roup in the Revolutionary War. He married Margaret Gebhart; children: ten including Joseph, Susannah b. 1791, Michael b. 1795, Mary Ann b. 1799, Margaret b. 1802 and Solomon b. 1812. Michael moved his family from Berks County, Pennsylvania to Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, and eventually onto Montgomery County, Ohio. They settled in Jefferson Township in 1814. He died on May 15, 1849 and was buried in Ellerton Cemetery at 4573 S. Union Road, Moraine, Montgomery County, Ohio 45342. References: 56th-77th Annual Reports DAR.
