Author: Walter L.Ellis
Jacob Honaker came from Germany to Pennsylvania in 1749 and married Mary Gotz from Switzerland in Pennsylvania in 1753. He settled in Shenandoah County, Virginia. He provided supplies while living in Shenandoah County during the Revolutionary War. Jacob’s handwritten Will names his wife, 10 sons and 4 daughters. This will was probated 10 May 1796. His granddaughter Mary “Polly” Honaker married Edmund Dickenson who fought in the War of 1812. His great granddaughter Nancy Dickenson married Robert D. Carty who was the grandson of David Carty P-331678 (VA) NSSAR Patriot.
