Born in 1752 at New Jersey.  He was a Virginia soldier in the Revolutionary War.  He was also at Kentucky County, Virginia, with Captain Peter Asturgus and Colonel George Rogers Clark.  He married Hannah Delay; children: James, Sarah, Effie b. 1775, Mary, William, James, Elizabeth, Hannah, Anna and Lucretia b. 1800.  He died May 31, 1822 and was buried at Greenlawn Cemetery, Versailles, Darke County, Ohio, 45380.  References:  SAR Patriot Index Edition III (CD: PP2210, Progeny Publ., 2002) plus data to 2004.  DAR# A052988.  SAR Ancestor # P-183491.  Has a new tombstone and a 1776 marker.  Cemetery number #- 727798.  Find-a-Grave Memorial #- 180915262.
