Author: Christopher Tobias Yohn
Jacob Hill was born in 1726 in Maxatawny, Berks County, PA. He was the son of Johannes Daniel Hill and Anna Adam Hill.

Jacob married Magdalena in 1753, in Windsor, Berks County, PA. They had 14 children: seven boys and seven girls.

Aged 50 at the start of the revolution, Jacob performed patriot service. He took the Oath of Allegiance in Berks County on October 23, 1775. He also paid the Effective Supply Tax in 1779.

Jacob died on December 8, 1815. Magdalena also died in 1815. Both are buried in the Old Hill Burying Ground, in Muncy Creek Twp., Lycoming County, PA.
