Service: Represented Duplin County in the Provincial Assemblies from 1774 to 1779. Delegate to the 1st Provincial Assembly in New Bern, NC on 3 April 1775. Delegate at the 2nd Provincial Assembly in New Bern, NC on 13 April 1775. Member of the House of Commons, State Legislature, New Bern, NC on 14 April 1778.
