Robert Henderson    b. 6/5/1762    d. 9/29/1840    (HALL COUNTY, GEORGIA)

In February 1779, he enlisted in the 96th District in Captain John Gowen's Company of the South Carolina Troops under Colonel John Thomas.  In 1780, he served in Captain Adam Hampton's Company and was in an engagement on the Pacolet River. He fought at the Battles of King's Mountain and Cowpens under Colonel John Thomas and later received a pension for his services. He drew land in the 1838 Georgia Cherokee Land Lottery as a Revolutionary War Soldier and resident of Jone's District in Hall County.
