Author: Henry Clint Peden, Jr
Henry Hayes Jr was born 1762 in Lunenburg Co, VA. He was the son of Henry Hayes (d. 1807) and Ann. He married Elizabeth Cabiness. He died 1857 in Barren Co, KY. His service was as a Private in Capt. Dawson's Comp. Lunenburg Co, VA Mil in 1781 and fought at Guilford Courthouse NC and participated in Cornwallis' surrender at Yorktown VA.
