Patriot Samuel Harwell was born circa 1710 in Prince George County, VA. He was the son of Samuel Harwell and his mother was unknown. Samuel Harwell married Anne Jackson, circa 1730 (born ca. 1712). Anne was the daughter of Ambrose Jackson and Mother unknown. Samuel and Anne had the following children: Abigail (born ca. 1732), Samuel, Jr. (born ca. 1733), Ambrose (born ca. 1734), (born ca. Lemuel (born ca. 1738), Susannah (born ca. 1740, Anna (born ca. 1743), Elizabeth (born ca. 1746),Tabitha (born ca. 1748 and Absolom (Born ca. 1750)
Dinwiddie County, VA public Service Claims, April 20, 1783 lists Samuel Harwell as furnishing beef for the militia.
Patriot Samuel Harwell died after 1798 in Dinwiddie County, VA. It is not known where he is buried.
Patriot Samuel Harwell’s son, Lemuel, is also a Patriot for providing beef to the Militia as is his son-in-law, Samuel Harwell who married Abigail, Samuels daughter.
