Levi Harrod was born January 22, 1750 in Bedford County, Pennsylvania. He was married in June, 1769 to Rachel Mills.

Levi was a private and lieutenant in Washington County, Pennsylvania toward the end of the war. He served under Captain Benjamin Stitt and Lieutenants James Blackburn and Elijah Mills. He was a ranger on the Pennsylvania frontier, assisting in settling Indian troubles in the region. He continued to serve in the county militia beyond 1790.

He is listed as a guide and pilot on the White Woman’s Campaign in 1790-91.

He died on his farm in Pleasant Twp, Knox County, Ohio.

Levi served as private, sergeant and lieutenant in the Washington County, Pennsylvania Militia during the Revolutionary War 1782. A DAR marker is at his grave at Union Grove Cemetery near Mount Vernon, Ohio. He served under Captain Benjamin Stitt and Lieutenants James Blackburn and Elijah MIlls. He was a ranger on the Pennsylvania frontier, assisting in settling the Indian troubles in the region. He continued to serve in the county militia beyond 1790
