Born in 11 Nov. 1746, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.  Served in Capt. Carle's Troop of Light Horse from Hunterdon Co., N. J. Mar Sarah Runyon, 1770, they had a son John. He died on December 3, 1797 in Cincinnati, OH. Bur in Presbyterian Cemetery, Fort Washington first burial ground, 12th Street, remains moved to Wesleyan Cemetery. No personal stone, but has name on a 20” X 30” Granite memorial stone next to the GAR monument at Wesleyan Cemetery. Ref : Natl No. 67,524, Vol 68, p 186. D. A. R. Lin.
