- From the cemetery gate at the southeastern corner of the cemetery, locate the large plot with a stone border and white gravel closest to the gate. Just past that is a medium-size tree. Follow a line from the gate towards that tree and then past it towards the back fence (western side of the cemetery). The marker for Samuel Givens is just a few feet from the back fence. It is a small stone with a rounded top

Directions to Cemetery / Gravesite:
From the intersection of North Main St (north of the railroad tracks) and Broome St in Waxhaw, NC, take North Main St west for roughly 1.7 miles. North Main becomes Waxhaw-Marvin Rd. At 1.7 miles, make a slight right onto Pine Oak Rd. Follow Pink Oak for roughly .4 miles to the cemetery on the left. A gate and small parking spot next to the road are at the nearest corner of the cemetery. There is also some parking across the road
